A war between vampires and werewolves unfolds as Lucian, a werewolf, forms a forbidden relationship with Viktors daughter, Sonja, eventually leading to Lucians imprisonment and Sonjas death, prompting Lucian to gather allies and wage a successful attack against the vampires, setting the stage for an ongoing conflict. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans is a 2009 American English-language Action Adventure motion picture starring Michael Sheen, Bill Nighy, Rhona Mitra, Steven Mackintosh, Kevin Grevioux, David Aston and Samuel Wheeler. The movie is based on Characters created by Kevin Grevioux Len Wiseman Danny McBride. Lakeshore Entertainment in association with Sketch Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi, Len Wiseman and Richard Wright. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans is written by Danny Mcbride, Dirk Blackman, Howard Mccain, Len Wiseman, Robert Orr and Kevin Grevioux and it is directed by Patrick Tatopoulos. Screen Gems acquired the distribution rights for the film. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans was released on 5th February 2009 and takes a screen time of 89 minutes.
