Umrao Jaan

A girl named Amiran is kidnapped and forced into a life as a courtesan before finding love with Nawab Sultan, but their relationship is torn apart by misunderstandings, leading Umrao to return to her former life, face further hardships, and eventually find solace in her poetry and unfortunate circumstances in Lucknow. Umrao Jaan is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language Drama Romance movie featuring Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Sunil Shetty, Shabana Azmi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Bikram Saluja and Hamzah. Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Umrao Jaan was released on 3rd November 2006 and takes a screen time of 189 minutes.
