In a futuristic world, a rebellious hemophage supersoldier named Violet fights against a powerful corporation and a secret hemophage president to protect humanity and a cloned boy who carries a dangerous virus. Ultraviolet is a 2006 American English-language Action Sci-Fi film starring Milla Jovovich, Cameron Bright, Nick Chinlund, William Fichtner, Sebastien Andrieu, Ida Martin and Ted Thomas. Ultraviolet was Produced by John Baldecchi. The film is written and directed by Kurt Wimmer. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the film. Ultraviolet was released on 30th March 2006 and takes a screen time of 87 minutes. Ultraviolet was made on a budget of $30 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $31 million. Cinematography was done by Arthur Wong and editing by William Yeh. The music was composed by Klaus Badelt.

      Seems this is yet another puddle of futuristic sludge for us to blame on John Cassavetes, whose Gloria (1980) reportedly inspired writer director Kurt Wimmer (Equilibrium) to replace Gena Rowlands with Milla Jovovich and the original heroines ordinary pistol with a Tec 9/knife combo that looks like an industrial strength stapler.
