After losing her father in a tragic tornado, meteorologist Jo becomes obsessed with storm chasing and reconnects with her estranged husband while trying to outsmart a rival storm chaser and develop a revolutionary tornado research device. Twister is a 1996 American English-language Action Adventure movie featuring Helen Hunt, Bill Paxton, Jami Gertz, Cary Elwes, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Lois Smith and Mark Falvo. Warner Bros. in association with Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Michael Crichton, Ian Bryce and Kathleen Kennedy. Twister is written by Michael Crichton and Anne-marie Martin and it is directed by Jan De Bont. Warner Bros. acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Twister was released on 10th May 1996 and takes a screen time of 113 minutes. Twister was made on a budget of $50 million and at the box office it grossed only $40 million. Cinematography was done by Jack N. Green and editing by Michael Kahn. The music was composed by Mark Mancina.
