In a twisted and disturbing film, a podcaster named Wallace is drugged, abducted, and transformed into a walrus by a retired seaman named Howard, leading Wallaces friends Ally and Teddy, who are having an affair, to discover Howards dark secret and ultimately save Wallace. Tusk is a 2014 American English-language Comedy Horror motion picture featuring Michael Parks, Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Johnny Depp, Harley Morenstein and Devin Walker. The movie is based on SModcast #259: The Walrus and The Carpenter starring Kevin Smith Scott Mosier. Tusk was Produced by David S Greathouse, William D. Johnson, Sam Englebardt, Shannon Mcintosh and David Greathouse. The movie is written and directed by Kevin Smith. A24 acquired the distribution rights for the film. Tusk was released on 1st July 2021 and takes a screen time of 101 minutes. Tusk was made on a budget of $3 million and at the box office it grossed only $1 million. Cinematography was done by James Laxton and editing by Kevin Smith. The music was composed by Christopher Drake.
