A determined engineer designs the innovative Tucker Torpedo car with family support and financial backing, but faces opposition from big automakers and the authorities, leading to a damaged public image and bankruptcy for the Tucker Corporation. Tucker: The Man and His Dream is a 1988 American English-language Biography Drama film featuring Jeff Bridges, Joan Allen, Martin Landau, Frederic Forrest, Mako, Dean Stockwell and Tom Tomorrow. Lucasfilm Ltd. in association with Zoetrope Studios. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Fred Fuchs and Fred Roos. Tucker: The Man and His Dream is written by Arnold Schulman and David Seidler and it is directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Tucker: The Man and His Dream was released on 12th August 1988 and takes a screen time of 110 minutes. Tucker: The Man and His Dream was made on a budget of $24 million and at the box office it grossed only $19 million. Cinematography was done by Vittorio Storaro and editing by Priscilla Nedd-Friendly. The music was composed by Joe Jackson.
