In 1977, a group of outcast elementary school students from rural Wiggly, Georgia, forms their own Birdie Scouts troop led by Christmas Flint, aiming to win a talent show and have their voices featured on the Voyager Golden Record, with support from their troop mother Rayleen and despite facing challenges and being called Troop Zero as an insult. Troop Zero is a 2020 American English-language Comedy Drama motion picture featuring Viola Davis, Mckenna Grace, Jim Gaffigan, Mike Epps, Charlie Shotwell, Allison Janney and Raphael Luce. The movie is inspired from Christmas and Jubilee Behold The Meteor Shower by Lucy Alibar. Troop Zero was Produced by Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch. Troop Zero is written by Lucy Alibar and directed by Bert & Bertie. Amazon Studios acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Troop Zero was released on 17th January 2020 and takes a screen time of 94 minutes. Troop Zero was made on a budget of $10 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Lucy Alibar. Cinematography was done by Jim Whitaker and editing by Catherine Haight. The music was composed by Rob Lord.
