The movie is based on short story by No l Calef. Independent Artists was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) John Hawkesworth. Tiger Bay is written by John Hawkesworth and Shelley Smith and it is directed by J. Lee Thompson. Rank Film Distributors acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Tiger Bay was released on 13th December 1959 and takes a screen time of 103 minutes. Cinematography was done by Eric Cross and editing by Sidney Hayers. The music was composed by Laurie Johnson. At the 1959 Berlin International Film Festival It won an award for Special Prize.
