An ambulance driver named Maha Vishnu saves the life of a man who happens to be the son of a corrupt central minister and decides to take action against his illegal activities. Thondan is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language Crime Action movie starring Samuthirakani, Vikranth, Sunaina, Arthana Binu, Gouri Nair, Namo Narayana and Gowri Nair. Vasundara Devi Cine Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) R. Manikandan. The movie is written and directed by Samuthirakani. Vasundara Devi Cine Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Thondan was released on 26th May 2017. Cinematography was done by N. K. Ekambaram and Richard M. Nathan and editing by A. L. Ramesh. The music was composed by Justin Prabhakaran.

    • Soori and Thambi Ramaiah make sudden and unexpected entries in the climax and since the audiences are so drained by the story so far find immense relief and they cannot help but laugh at their very ordinary jokes.Kudos to Samuthirakani for paying tribute to Jallikattu protestors at the very beginning of the film and also for repeatedly reminding the youngsters that they should never let the fire die down in many scenes.
