A group of neglected siblings devise a plan to get rid of their uncaring parents, but their scheme is thwarted when a caring nanny enters their lives and takes them to work at a candy factory, leading to a series of events that result in the children being separated and placed in foster care, until they reunite, rescue their freezing parents, only for their selfish parents to meet a disastrous end at sea, leaving the children to be adopted by their newfound caretakers and live happily ever after at the candy factory.
