In 1950s Cayuga, New Mexico, Everett and Fay encounter a mysterious signal and investigate its origin, leading them to discover evidence of top-secret projects involving buried unknown objects and predominantly black or Mexican military personnel, as well as encountering UFO sightings and a woman searching for her abducted son, ultimately witnessing a crashed object and a flying saucer before fleeing, leaving behind only footprints and a tape recorder.
