Company Production was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Alok Shrivastava and M. Sasikumar. The motion picture is written and directed by Alok Shrivastava and S. R. Prabhakaran. Disney ABC Domestic Television acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Unsound was released on 8th February 2013. The Unsound was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹6 lakh. Cinematography was done by Premkumar and editing by V. Don Bosco. The music was composed by N. R. Raghunanthan.
