Anna returns home after a stint in a mental hospital, but her recovery is jeopardized by her cruel stepmother and ghastly visions of her dead mother. The Uninvited is a 2009 English-language Drama Horror motion picture starring Emily Browning, Elizabeth Banks, Arielle Kebbel, David Strathairn, Maya Massar, Kevin Mcnulty and C.a. Fraser Bain. The movie is based on A Tale of Two Sisters by Kim Jee-woon. DreamWorks Pictures in association with Cold Spring Pictures, Vertigo Entertainment, The Montecito Picture Company, Parkes/MacDonald Productions and Goldcrest Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Walter F. Parkes, Laurie Macdonald and Roy Lee. The Uninvited is written by Craig Rosenberg, Doug Miro, Carlo Bernard and Jee-woon Kim and it is directed by Charles Guard, Thomas Guard and The Guard Brothers. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Uninvited was released on 14th May 2009 and takes a screen time of 87 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $41 million.
