The Thirteenth Floor

In 1999 Los Angeles, a murder investigation leads protégé Douglas Hall to enter a virtual reality simulation, where he discovers the truth about his world and uncovers the real culprit behind the crimes. The Thirteenth Floor is a 1999 English-language Mystery Sci-Fi movie starring Craig Bierko, Gretchen Mol, Vincent D onofrio, Dennis Haysbert, Armin Mueller-stahl, Steven Schub and Randy Woltz. The movie is inspired from Simulacron-3 by Daniel F. Galouye. Centropolis Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Roland Emmerich, Ute Emmerich and Marco Weber. The Thirteenth Floor is written by Daniel F. Galouye, Josef Rusnak and Ravel Centeno-rodriguez and it is directed by Josef Rusnak. Columbia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Thirteenth Floor was released on 15th July 1999 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. The Thirteenth Floor was made on a budget of $16 million and at the box office it grossed only $10 million.
