The Taking of Tiger Mountain

The Eight Hundred is a film about the 88th Division of the National Revolutionary Army of China who defends themselves against the Japanese army in a Sihang Warehouse and ultimately win, but face political backlash afterwards. The Taking of Tiger Mountain is a 2015 Mandarin-language Action Adventure movie starring Zhang Hanyu, Tony Leung Ka-fai, Lin Gengxin, Yu Nan, Tong Liya, Hanyu Zhang and John Do. The movie is inspired from Tracks in the Snowy Forest by Qu Bo. Bona Film Group in association with Huaxia Film Distribution, August First Film Studio, Wanda Media, China Movie Channel, Youku Tudou Film, Shanghai Real Thing Media, Dream Sky Film, Bona Entertainment and Heyi Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jianxin Huang, Huang Jianxin, Shi Nansun and Yu Dong. The Taking of Tiger Mountain is written by Bo Qu, Jianxin Huang, Hark Tsui, Yang Li, Chi-an Lin, Bing Wu and Zhe Dong and it is directed by Hark Tsui and Tsui Hark. Tianjin Bona Cultural Media acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Taking of Tiger Mountain was released on 8th January 2015 and takes a screen time of 141 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $150 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Huang Xin, Li Yang, Tsui Hark, Wu Bing, Dong Zhe and Lin Chi-an. Cinematography was done by Choi Sung-fai and editing by Yu Baiyang. The music was composed by Wu Wai-lap.
