The Substitute

A mercenary and Vietnam veteran goes undercover as a substitute teacher to gain the respect of high school students and take down the Kings of Destruction gang, who orchestrated an attack on his girlfriend and are distributing cocaine around Miami. The Substitute is a 1996 American English-language Action Crime motion picture starring Tom Berenger, Ernie Hudson, Diane Venora, Glenn Plummer, Marc Anthony, Luis Guzm N and Jenny Inge Devaney. Live Entertainment in association with Substitute Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Morrie Eisenman and Jim Steele. The Substitute is written by Roy Frumkes, Rocco Simonelli and Alan Ormsby and it is directed by Robert Mandel. Orion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Substitute was released on 19th April 1996 and takes a screen time of 114 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $2 million. Cinematography was done by Bruce Surtees and editing by Alex Mackie. The music was composed by Gary Chang.
