The Strays

The story follows Cheryl, a Black woman in England, who faces discrimination and financial struggles, and years later meets Neve, a fair-skinned Black woman married to a white man, with biracial children, who is dismissive of her Black identity but encounters two individuals claiming to be her children at a fundraising gala, leading to disturbing events where Cheryl is revealed to be Neve, and Carl and Dione are her children, resulting in a meeting at a diner where Cheryl gives them money and they later break into her house, while Carl coerces Ian into a deadly accident and Neve leaves with an Uber driver, abandoning her second set of children. The Strays is a 2023 English-language Drama Thriller film starring Ashley Madekwe, Caroline Martin, Justin Salinger, Michael Warburton, Rob Jarvis, Bukky Bakray and Callum Bowyer. The Strays was released on 22nd February 2023. The movie made a box office gross of $1 million.
