Nickelodeon Movies in association with The Kennedy/Marshall Company and Atmosphere Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Mark Canton, Larry Franco, Ellen Goldsmith-vein and Karey Kirkpatrick. The Spiderwick Chronicles is written by Karey Kirkpatrick, David Berenbaum, John Sayles, Tony Diterlizzi and Holly Black and it is directed by Mark Waters. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Spiderwick Chronicles was released on 13th March 2008 and takes a screen time of 95 minutes. The Spiderwick Chronicles was made on a budget of $90 million and at the box office it grossed only $4 million.
