The Seeker

A young boy named Will discovers he is the last of the Old Ones and must find six Signs to give The Light power over The Dark, facing various challenges along the way, but ultimately succeeds in banishing The Rider and The Dark, reuniting with his family. The Seeker is a 2007 American English-language Adventure Drama movie starring Alexander Ludwig, Christopher Eccleston, Frances Conroy, Ian Mcshane, Evan Somers, James Cosmo and Boiangiu Alma. The movie is based on The Dark Is Rising Sequence by Susan Cooper. Walden Media was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Marc Platt. The Seeker is written by Evan Somers, Jess Thomas, John Hodge and Susan Cooper and it is directed by Evan Somers, Jess Thomas and David L. Cunningham. 20th Century Fox acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The film has a running time of 99 minutes. The Seeker was made on a budget of $45 million and at the box office it grossed only $31 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by John Hodge.
