A rebellious orphan turned professional thief named Simon Templar steals a microchip from a Russian oil company owner and is later hired by the same owner to steal a cold fusion formula from an American electrochemist to monopolize during a severe oil shortage in Russia, but Simon successfully exposes the owners fraud and donates 3 billion to charity. The Saint is a 1997 American English-language Action Adventure motion picture featuring Val Kilmer, Elisabeth Shue, Rade Erbed Ija, Rade Serbedzija, Valeriy Nikolaev, Henry Goodman and Yana Yanezic. The movie is inspired from Simon Templar by Leslie Charteris. Mace Neufeld Productions in association with Rysher Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) David Brown, Robert Evans, William J. Macdonald and Mace Neufeld. The movie is directed by Phillip Noyce. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie.
