In the aftermath of the 2010 BP oil spill, an idealistic but flawed politician is forced to confront his dysfunctional life after his career is destroyed in a sex scandal. The Runner is a 2015 American English-language Drama movie featuring Nicolas Cage, Connie Nielsen, Peter Fonda, Sarah Paulson, Wendell Pierce, Bryan Batt and Angela Abadie. The Runner was Produced by Bingo Gubelmann, Erika Hampson, Benji Kohn, Chris Papavasiliou and Glenn Williamson. The movie is written and directed by Austin Stark. Alchemy acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Runner was released on 7th August 2015 and takes a screen time of 90 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $0 million. Cinematography was done by Elliot Davis and editing by Michael R. Miller. The music was composed by The Newton Brothers.
