In a dangerous post-apocalyptic world, an ailing father defends his son as they slowly travel to the sea. The Road is a 2009 American English-language Adventure Drama motion picture featuring Viggo Mortensen, Kodi Smit-mcphee, Robert Duvall, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Molly Parker and Mark Tierno. The movie is based on The Road by Cormac McCarthy. 2929 Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Nick Wechsler, Steve Schwartz and Paula Mae Schwartz. The Road is written by Cormac Mccarthy and Joe Penhall and it is directed by John Hillcoat. Dimension Films acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Road was released on 25th November 2009 and takes a screen time of 111 minutes. The Road was made on a budget of $25 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Joe Penhall. Cinematography was done by Javier Aguirresarobe and editing by Jon Gregory. The music was composed by Nick Cave along with Warren Ellis.
