A struggling house painter and poet in Watts, Los Angeles faces a series of challenges including his sons failure to graduate from Air Force flight school and a police shootout in his house. The River Niger is a 1976 American English-language Drama film starring Cicely Tyson, James Earl Jones, Louis Gossett, Glynn Turman, Jonelle Allen, Roger E. Mosley and Tony Burton. The River Niger was Produced by Sidney Beckerman. The River Niger is written by Joseph A. Walker and directed by Krishna Shah. Cine Artists Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. The River Niger was released on 13th April 1976 and takes a screen time of 105 minutes. Cinematography was done by Michael D. Margulies and editing by Irving Lerner. The music was composed by Jerry Goldstein along with War.
