An Oscar-winning writer in a slump leaves Hollywood to teach screenwriting at a college on the East Coast, where he falls for a single mom taking classes there. The Rewrite is a 2014 American English-language Comedy Romance movie featuring Hugh Grant, Marisa Tomei, Bella Heathcote, J. K. Simmons, Chris Elliott, Allison Janney and Cris Williams. The Rewrite was Produced by Liz Glotzer and Martin Shafer. The motion picture is written and directed by Marc Lawrence. Lionsgate acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Rewrite was released on 16th October 2014 and takes a screen time of 106 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $4 million. Cinematography was done by Jonathan Brown and editing by Ken Eluto. The music was composed by Clyde Lawrence.
