In 19th-century Baltimore, a detective investigates a series of murders inspired by Edgar Allan Poes stories, and when Poes love interest is kidnapped, he must write and publish a new story to save her, ultimately sacrificing himself to rescue her while the true killer is revealed and confronted. The Raven is a 2012 American English-language Crime Mystery movie featuring John Cusack, Luke Evans, Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson, Kevin Mcnally, Oliver Jackson-cohen and Sava Rapic. FilmNation Entertainment in association with Relativity Media, Intrepid Pictures, Galavis Films and Pioneer Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Marc D Evans, Trevor Macy and Aaron Ryder. The Raven is written by Hannah Shakespeare and Ben Livingston and it is directed by James Mcteigue. Relativity Media acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Raven was released on 26th April 2012 and takes a screen time of 111 minutes. The Raven was made on a budget of $26 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $29 million. Cinematography was done by Danny Ruhlmann and editing by Niven Howie. The music was composed by Lucas Vidal.
