A family finds resilience and community while living in a small house in Yorkshire and watching the nearby railway, with the children becoming known as The Railway Children after their heroic actions. The Railway Children is a 1970 English-language Family Drama motion picture starring Jenny Agutter, Sally Thomsett, Gary Warren, Dinah Sheridan, Bernard Cribbins, William Mervyn and Haworth Band. The movie is inspired from The Railway Children by E. Nesbit. EMI Elstree was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Robert Lynn. The movie is directed by Lionel Jeffries. MGM-EMI acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Railway Children was released on 22nd December 1970 and takes a screen time of 110 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The Railway Children was made on a budget of £500 billion and at the box office it grossed only $1 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Lionel Jeffries. Cinematography was done by Arthur Ibbetson and editing by Teddy Darvas. The music was composed by Johnny Douglas.
