An interesting comical musical drama The Prom revolves around self-obsessed New York City stage stars with a flatlined career. In order to revive their public image they set out to help a high school student living in Indiana when she is banned from attending a prom with her girlfriend.The film stars Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Keegan-Michael Key, Andrew Rannells, Ariana DeBose, Kerry Washington, and Jo Ellen Pellman. The filming took place in Orpheum Theater - 842 South Broadway, Chatsworth, and Santa Clarita, California, USA. The screenplay was written by Chad Beguelin and Bob Martin and it was directed by Ryan Murphy. The film was produced by Adam Anders, Dori Berinstein, Chad Beguelin, Bill Damaschke, Bob Martin, Ryan Murphy, Scott Robertson, Matthew Sklar, and Alexis Martin Woodall for Ryan Murphy Productions and was distributed by Netflix. The music was composed by Matthew Sklar. Adept cinematography by Matthew Libatique and clear cut editing by Peggy Tachdjian and Danielle Wang makes it a watchable movie. The film was released on Netflix on December 11, 2020 and occupies a screentime of 131 minutes. A PG-13 certificate for the movie was provided by the MPAA.
