During the Mexican Revolution, a group of men hired to rescue an American ranchers wife from a former revolutionary bandit leader, find out she is actually the bandits lover and after a shootout and sacrifice, they ultimately allow the bandit to go free, leaving the rancher disappointed. The Professionals is a 1966 American English-language Action Adventure film featuring Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan, Woody Strode, Jack Palance, Claudia Cardinale and Ron Veto. The movie is based on A Mule for the Marquesa by Frank O Rourke. Pax Enterprises was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Richard Brooks. The Professionals is written by Frank O rourke and Richard Brooks and it is directed by Richard Brooks. Columbia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Professionals was released on 4th November 1966 and takes a screen time of 117 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The film made a box office gross of $19 million. Cinematography was done by Conrad L. Hall and editing by Peter Zinner. The music was composed by Maurice Jarre.
