Two magicians in 1890s London become bitter rivals and engage in acts of sabotage, with one of them seeking to uncover the others secret trick and discovering a machine that creates duplicates instead of teleportation; ultimately, it is revealed that the magicians trick involves sacrificing clones of himself, leading to his own death.
