The show follows Payton Hobarts political ambitions as he first campaigns for student body president in high school, and later runs for a seat in the New York State Senate while his mother unexpectedly joins the race for Governor of California. The Politician is a 2019 American Hindi-language show featuring Ben Platt, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Bob Balaban, David Corenswet, Julia Schlaepfer and Bette Midler. Prospect Films in association with Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision, Ryan Murphy Television and Fox 21 Television Studios. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kenneth Silverstein, Todd Nenninger, Lou Eyrich, Eryn Krueger Mekash, Kristin Bernstein and Jeff Dickerson. 20th Television acquired the distribution rights for the series. Creators of the series include Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. The Politician has 2 seasons and a cumulative total of 15 episodes which have a running time of 28-62 minutes each. Cinematography was done by Nelson Cragg, Simon Dennis and Tim Norman. The music was composed by Mac Quayle.
