Thomas, a retired British Jew and former Mossad agent, is approached by his long-lost friend Rachel, who disappeared and is now seeking his assistance in locating her and understanding her motives, which involve her previous involvement with smuggling parts for Irans nuclear program and the need to establish a new life with reduced risks.
