The New Romantic

A student journalist named Blake writes a column about her love life, which gets canceled, leading her to meet a sugar baby named Morgan, but she declines the offer to stay with a wealthy older man and decides to interview Morgan instead, later meeting a man named Ian who becomes her sugar daddy but she realizes their relationship resembles prostitution and decides to end it, facing threats to her career from Ian unless she takes down her popular column and sell the jewelry he gave her, but she refuses and publishes her final column under her real name before sharing a romantic moment with a fellow journalist named Jacob. The New Romantic is a 2018 English-language Comedy Drama motion picture featuring Jessica Barden, Hayley Law, Brett Dier, Avan Jogia, Timm Sharp, Camila Mendes and Annie Clark. Drive Films in association with Jobro Productions, Notario and Independent Edge Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Michael Risley, Jonathan Bronfman, Jason Ross Jallet and Kyle Mann. The motion picture is written and directed by Carly Stone. Elevation Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The New Romantic was released on 9th November 2018 and takes a screen time of 101 minutes. Cinematography was done by Mike McLaughlin and editing by Christine Armstrong. The music was composed by Matthew O halloran.
