A high school senior branded uncool in the ninth grade gets himself expelled so he changes his image to cool kid at the town s other high school. The New Guy is a 2002 American English-language Comedy motion picture featuring Dj Qualls, Eliza Dushku, Zooey Deschanel, Lyle Lovett, Eddie Griffin, Jerod Mixon and Dante Ponzanelli. Columbia Pictures in association with Revolution Studios and Frontier Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Greg Silverman and John J. Strauss. The New Guy is written by David Kendall and directed by Ed Decter. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The New Guy was released on 10th May 2002 and takes a screen time of 88 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The New Guy was made on a budget of $13 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $31 million. Cinematography was done by Michael D. O Shea and editing by David Rennie. The music was composed by Ralph Sall.
