The New Centurions is a 1972 American English-language Action Crime movie featuring George C. Scott, Stacy Keach, Jane Alexander, Scott Wilson, Rosalind Cash, Erik Estrada and Anne Ramsey. The movie is inspired from The New Centurions 1970 novel by Joseph Wambaugh. Chartoff-Winkler Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Robert Chartoff and Irwin Winkler. The movie is directed by Richard Fleischer. Columbia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The New Centurions was released on 9th November 1972 and takes a screen time of 103 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $7 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Stirling Silliphant. Cinematography was done by Ralph Woolsey and editing by Robert C. Jones. Female empowerment, sexual repression (bookended with sexual fantasy), stifling chauvinism, generation gap conflicts, MILF encounters, faddish pursuits, post 60s paranoia this films got a full plate, although its impact is seriously undermined by some amateurish performances and an erratic pace.
