The movie is based on Characters by Stephen Sommers Lloyd Fonvielle Kevin Jarre. National Geographic was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sean Daniel and James Jacks. The Mummy is written by Kevin Jarre, Lloyd Fonvielle and Stephen Sommers and it is directed by Stephen Sommers. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Mummy was released on 22nd July 1999 and takes a screen time of 129 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Mummy was made on a budget of $125 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $409 million. Cinematography was done by Adrian Biddle and editing by Bob Ducsay and Kelly Matsumoto. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner Jerry Goldsmith along with Alan Silvestri.
