The movie is inspired from The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins. Monogram Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Paul Malvern. The Moonstone is written by Adele Buffington and directed by Reginald Barker. Monogram Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film.
