A meteorite crashes in a desert and causes black fragments to drain silicon from everything they touch, eventually growing into monoliths that start advancing towards San Angelo until a geologist blows up a dam to flood salt flats and use saline solution to halt their growth, proving the regions salt flat is Mother Natures best mistake. The Monolith Monsters is a 1957 American English-language Drama Horror movie featuring Grant Williams, Lola Albright, Les Tremayne, William Schallert, Trevor Bardette, Phil Harvey and Eddie Parker. Universal-International was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Howard Christie. The movie is directed by John Sherwood. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Monolith Monsters was released on 8th December 1957 and takes a screen time of 77 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Norman Jolley and Robert M. Fresco. Cinematography was done by Ellis W. Carter and editing by Patrick McCormack. The music was composed by Henry Mancini along with Irving Getz and Herman Stein.
