A Buddhist monk embarks on a journey to India to collect scriptures and meets other characters on the way to defeat the White Bone Demon and must learn to trust each other. The Monkey King 2 is a 2016 Mandarin-language Action Adventure motion picture starring Aaron Kwok, Feng Shaofeng, Xiaoshenyang, Him Law, Gong Li, Fei Xiang and Xin Yu. The movie is inspired from Journey to the West by Wu Cheng en. Filmko Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kiefer Liu. The Monkey King 2 is written by Elvis Man, Wen Ning, Ran Ping, Ch eng-en Wu, Ran Jianan and Yan Yiyi and it is directed by Cheang Pou-soi. Filmko Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Monkey King 2 was released on 5th February 2016 and takes a screen time of 119 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Monkey King 2 was made on a budget of $60 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $193 million. Cinematography was done by Yang Tao and Cheung Man-po and editing by Angie Lam, Yau Chi-wai and Lu Xin. The music was composed by Christopher Young.
