The Mist is a 2007 American English-language Horror Sci-Fi motion picture starring Thomas Jane, Marcia Gay Harden, Laurie Holden, Andre Braugher, Toby Jones, William Sadler and Steven E. Williams. The movie is based on The Mist by Stephen King. Darkwoods Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Frank Darabont, Martin Shafer and Liz Glotzer. The movie is directed by Frank Darabont. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Mist was released on 24th January 2008 and takes a screen time of 126 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Mist was made on a budget of $18 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $57 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Frank Darabont. Cinematography was done by Rohn Schmidt and editing by Hunter M. Via. The music was composed by Mark Isham.
