An aging widow from New York City follows her daughter to Los Angeles in hopes of starting a new life after her husband passes away. The Meddler is a 2015 American English-language Comedy Drama motion picture starring Susan Sarandon, Rose Byrne, J. K. Simmons, Cecily Strong, Jerrod Carmichael, Jason Ritter and Suzanna Toole. Sony Pictures Classics in association with Stage 6 Films and Anonymous Content. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Joy Gorman Wettels. The film is written and directed by Lorene Scafaria. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Meddler was released on 3rd June 2016 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Meddler was made on a budget of $3 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $5 million. Cinematography was done by Brett Pawlak and editing by Kayla M. Emter. The music was composed by Jonathan Sadoff.
