In one story, Marcy is sent to Ireland to secure votes for Senator McGlorys campaign and becomes involved in the villages Matchmaking Festival, while in another story, an office worker follows his intern to a desert resort where strange phenomena occur, and both stories explore the pursuit of love and unexpected events. The Matchmaker is a 1997 American English-language Comedy Romance motion picture starring Janeane Garofalo, David O hara, Milo O shea, Denis Leary, Jay O. Sanders, Rosaleen Linehan and Tommy Tiernan. The movie is inspired from Original screenplay by Greg Dinner. The Matchmaker was Produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Luc Roeg. The movie is directed by Mark Joffe. Gramercy Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Matchmaker was released on 3rd October 1997 and takes a screen time of 97 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $0 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Karen Janszen, Louis Nowra and Graham Linehan. Cinematography was done by Ellery Ryan and editing by Paul Martin Smith. The music was composed by John Altman.
