A foster son falls in love with a princess who is kidnapped by a wizard, and after facing challenges on the quest to rescue her, he ultimately succeeds with the help of others and defeats the wizard. The Magic Sword is a 1962 American English-language Adventure Drama motion picture featuring Basil Rathbone, Estelle Winwood, Anne Helm, Gary Lockwood, Liam Sullivan, Maila Nurmi and Angelo Rossitto. Bert I. Gordon Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bert I. Gordon. The Magic Sword is written by Bernard Schoenfeld and directed by Bert I. Gordon. United Artists acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Magic Sword was released on 25th January 1962 and takes a screen time of 80 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $36 million. Cinematography was done by Nicolas Vogel and Paul Vogel and editing by Harry Gerstad. The music was composed by Richard Markowitz.
