The Lovely Bones is a 2009 Indian English-language Drama Fantasy film featuring Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Michael Imperioli, Saoirse Ronan and Megan Wigmore. The movie is inspired from The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. DreamWorks Pictures in association with Film4 Productions and WingNut Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, Carolynne Cunningham and Aimee Peyronnet. The Lovely Bones is written by Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Peter Jackson and Alice Sebold and it is directed by Peter Jackson. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Lovely Bones was released on 18th March 2010 and takes a screen time of 135 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Lovely Bones was made on a budget of $65 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $93 million. Cinematography was done by Andrew Lesnie and editing by Jabez Olssen. The music was composed by Brian Eno.

      Anyone hoping that Peter Jackson may have returned to the more intimate territory of 1994s Heavenly Creatures for his version of Alice Sebolds novel must resign themselves to the fact that Jacksons filmmaking DNA may have become irreversibly modified.The source material might be more down to earth than King Kong, but Jackson does everything in his power to ditch the real in favour of fantasy.
