A mathematician named Alan Turing is investigated by police after a break-in at his home in 1951, during the interrogation he recounts his time working at Bletchley Park during WWII, where he develops a machine to decipher Nazi messages called Christopher, forms a bond with colleague Joan Clarke, discovers a Soviet spy, and ultimately faces difficulties including conviction and chemical castration before committing suicide in 1954, later receiving a posthumous pardon from Queen Elizabeth II in 2013.
