The movie is based on The Horse Whisperer by Nicholas Evans. Touchstone Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Robert Redford and Patrick Markey. The Horse Whisperer is written by Nick Evans, Eric Roth and Richard Lagravenese and it is directed by Robert Redford. Buena Vista Pictures Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Horse Whisperer was released on 15th May 1998 and takes a screen time of 170 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Horse Whisperer was made on a budget of $60 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $186 million.
