Bilbo and his companions witness the destruction of Laketown by Smaug, Bard becomes the new leader and leads the survivors to Dale while elsewhere, Galadriel, Elrond, and Saruman free Gandalf and battle Sauron, Azog sends his son Bolg to gather a second army and Thranduil arrives in Dale seeking treasure, Bard asks Thorin for promised gold but is refused, Bilbo prevents war by giving the Arkenstone, Thorin nearly kills Bilbo but is stopped by Gandalf, a battle between orcs and the forces of Dáin, Thranduil, and Bard ensues, ultimately resulting in the deaths of Azog, Fíli, Kíli, and Thorin, Bilbo returns home with Gandalf and keeps the ring, and sixty years later, celebrates his birthday with Gandalf. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is a 2014 English-language Adventure Fantasy movie starring Ian Mckellen, Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Luke Evans and Paul Gaudin. The movie is based on The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies was Produced by Carolynne Cunningham, Fran Walsh, Peter Jackson and Zane Weiner. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is written by Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Peter Jackson, Guillermo Del Toro and J.r.r. Tolkien and it is directed by Peter Jackson. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies was released on 12th December 2014 and takes a screen time of 144 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies was made on a budget of $250 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $962 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Peter Jackson and Guillermo del Toro. Cinematography was done by Andrew Lesnie and editing by Jabez Olssen. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner Howard Shore.
