In the 1950s, two friends on a fishing trip unknowingly pick up a hitchhiker who goes on a killing spree, holding them hostage until they manage to escape and are rescued unharmed while the killer is apprehended. The Hitch-Hiker is a 1953 American English-language Crime Drama film starring Edmond O brien, Frank Lovejoy, William Talman, José Torvay, Sam Hayes, Wendell Niles and Albert Ferrara. The Filmakers Inc. in association with RKO Radio Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Collier Young. The movie is directed by Ida Lupino. RKO Radio Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Hitch-Hiker was released on 29th April 1953 and takes a screen time of 71 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released.
