DreamWorks Pictures in association with Reliance Entertainment, Participant Media, Image Nation, 1492 Pictures and Harbinger Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Brunson Green, Chris Columbus and Michael Barnathan. The Help is written by Tate Taylor and Kathryn Stockett and it is directed by Tate Taylor. Walt Disney Studios acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Help was released on 20th October 2011 and takes a screen time of 146 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Help was made on a budget of $25 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $216 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Tate Taylor. Cinematography was done by Stephen Goldblatt and editing by Hughes Winborne. The music was composed by Thomas Newman. At the 2012 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role (Octavia Spencer).
