Taking place towards the end of WWII, 500 American Soldiers have been entrapped in a camp for 3 years. Beginning to give up hope they will ever be rescued, a group of Rangers goes on a dangerous mission to try and save them. The Great Raid is a 2005 English-language Action Drama film starring Benjamin Bratt, James Franco, Connie Nielsen, Marton Csokas, Joseph Fiennes, Robert Mammone and Matthew Wollaston. The Great Raid was Produced by Lawrence Bender and Marty Katz. The Great Raid is written by William B. Breuer, Hampton Sides, Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro and it is directed by John Dahl. Miramax Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. The movie has a running time of 132 minutes. The Great Raid was made on a budget of $80 million and at the box office it grossed only $10 million. Cinematography was done by Peter Menzies Jr. and editing by Scott Chestnut and Pietro Scalia. The music was composed by Trevor Rabin.
