Olivia Flaversham seeks the help of the famous Great Mouse Detective, Basil of Baker Street, to rescue her father from the criminal mastermind Ratigan and a bat with a peg leg in an exciting adventure set in London. The Great Mouse Detective is a 1986 American English-language Animation Adventure movie starring Vincent Price, Barrie Ingham, Val Bettin, Susanne Pollatschek, Candy Candido, Diana Chesney and William Windom. The movie is based on Basil of Baker Street by Eve Titus Paul Galdone. Walt Disney Pictures in association with Walt Disney Feature Animation and Silver Screen Partners II. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Burny Mattinson. The movie is directed by John Musker, Ron Clements and Dave Michener. Buena Vista Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Great Mouse Detective was released on 19th August 1994 and takes a screen time of 74 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Great Mouse Detective was made on a budget of $14 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $38 million. The music was composed by Henry Mancini.
